WOMEN’S OPPORTUNITY AWARD (WOA)is a grant awarded to female heads of households who need additional skills, training and education to enable them to upgrade their employment status to re-enter the workforce so they can provide adequately for themselves and their families.  For clubs with district judging, the deadline for submission to the district is February 1st. For those clubs in regions without districts, the deadline is March 1st

VIOLET RICHARDSON AWARD - "It's what you do that counts" was the motto of Violet Richardson, President of the first Soroptimist Club.  This new award was launched at the SIA Federation Convention in Hawaii in July 2000. The Violet Richardson award recognizes young women ages 14-17 engaged in volunteer action within their communities or schools. The award is given to young women whose volunteer activities make the community and world a better place. The deadline for the club award is December 15.

Making a Difference for Women Award - Around the world, many women are working to improve the lives of women and girls. Some women work to improve conditions for women and girls through their personal or volunteer efforts; others do so through professional avenues. The Soroptimist Making a Difference for Women Award is designed to honor these women.  The deadline for clubs to submit the names of their honorees to the region level is January 15th. Clubs can administer the program anytime throughout the year.
